Quick FX No Shine Mattifier Review

Primers are used to make foundation adhere better on the skin, provide a matte finish, conceal visible pores and sometimes fine lines and most importantly  keep shine at bay.

Quick FX No Shine Mattifier is actually a moisturizer and it contains salicylic acid, chamomile and tea tree extract that are known to help prevent and treat pimples.  You get a primer and a moisturizer in one.

It costs 89php and is available at Watsons. This sachet contains 10g of the product and has a twist cap which is a plus because we all know that sachets can be annoyingly messy.

TIP:  Make sure to check the cap before buying, I almost bought an opened one, good thing I was able to check before paying at the counter.

The consistency reminds me of the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser except this one changes into a watery consistency when blended.

When applied, my skin felt instantly soft and smooth although it did not conceal my fine lines and visible pores.  I noticed that the side where I applied it the foundation did not settle on my pores or on the crevices of my fine lines. Remember when using a primer, a little ALWAYS goes a long way.

On the LEFT is with Quick FX, on the RIGHT without Quick FX. It did a great job in absorbing the oil on my face.

When reapplied or used over makeup, it concealed my pores better.

After 10 hours my face is still presentable and not that shiny compared to when I first used Essence Stay All Day 16H Long Lasting Foundation (without a primer).

Overall, I love this product considering it only costs 89php.  In addition to being a primer, it is also a moisturizer (with salicylic acid, tea tree extract and chamomile) which is good for acne-prone skin.

If you haven’t tried a primer yet, I HIGHLY recommend Quick FX No Shine Mattifier available at Watsons.

Thanks for your time! Until my next one! xx
