L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation Review

Up until now, I am on the search for that perfect matte foundation that will last ALL DAY on my OILY SKIN and I have been getting numerous requests about this L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation so here you go!

It says at the back that it is demi-matte finish and claims to last up to 24 hours.  Texture is air-light and has oil control.  I got this from Bebang Online Store and costs 670 pesos.

Packaging is a squeeze-tube type and can drip if left open.  It contains 30ml of the product and is important to shake the container first before application.

I got the shade Natural Buff (103) which appears pinkish on my skin.  I was actually expecting a yellow undertone foundation but I guess it depends on the shade.

On swatch you can see how it provides really good coverage.  It also sets pretty fast so I suggest to blend on one area first rather than applying the foundation all over the face before blending and since I haven’t tried it with a sponge blender (which is what my viewers suggested for easier blending and yes I thank you for everyone who commented about this) I will just assume for now that it does provide a more flawless finish.

It instantly evened out my skin tone, concealing the redness on my cheeks and brightened my under eye area. However, I did find it hard to blend using my Real Techniques buffing brush.  I also tried to apply another layer just to check if the coverage is buildable (you can watch my video below) and yes it is buildable BUT it appeared to be quite cakey.  Maybe a sponge blender can thin it out a bit.

Since it has a matte finish it emphasized dry and flaking areas around my face (due to sunburn perhaps?) and oh my gulay the whiteheads on my nose.  A moisturizer is definitely a must if your face is dry.

I do LOVE the coverage and how it felt on the skin which really is air-light.  Once set, I did not feel any sticky feeling even before I applied my setting powder.

The packaging does not say anything about SPF but it does have a slight WHITE CAST which can be seen on flash photo.

After almost 12 hours and considering I was out the entire day, sweating balls and stuff, it held up on my oily face.  I blotted only once!  I am impressed how it lasted.  The only downside though is you have to have blending skills for this foundation.  It looks flawless but when you look up close you can see patchy areas especially on the chin and between the nose and the mouth.  A really good brush or a beauty blender is a must to avoid this.  Other than that, this foundation holds the title of the “Most Long-lasting on Oily Skin” for me.

The next day I tried it again and this time I used a primer (Zero Sebum) and used my fingertips to blend. It looked way better than it did on my first use.  The technique is blending!  Blend like you’ve never blend before ganern.

I highly recommend this foundation for oily to very oily skin because it does control oil! I was surprised that even after 6-7 hours I do not feel the need to blot and even if I sweat it does not get sticky-icky!  I now love this foundation and guessing even more so if I use a beauty blender na (as soon as I buy one LOL).

Have you tried this? Feel free to share your thoughts below! ♥

Ok…in search for a new liquid foundation, coz I’ve been using L’Oreal true match since forever, I came across your youtube review of this product. But I was shock that you did this review a year ago. Now Im trying to see if L’Oreal ifallible pro-matte is already out in the local market. Can anybody help…? TIA 🙂

I’m currently using Naturactor Cover Face 151. Nabasa ko po review niyo regarding Naturactor and Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte. Ano po ba mas okay sa dalawa in terms of coverage and oil-control? Ano po ba ang mas long lasting?

  • Iamdonata says:

Hi. I saw online that this is already available in the local market. They call it Loreal infallible stay fresh foundation that comes in a bottle. Loreal claims that this is formulated for asian skin. Maybe you can consider reviewing that as well. Please. 🙂 thank you.

Have you tried Revlon Colorstay, I did and I have super oily skin, and no oilies from morning til night, problem lng is the shade, yung yellow undertones are usually hard to find like warm golden. But try nyo rin po and compare it with loreal, infallible.
